In-depth: Jetboat Analytics vs LogRocket

LogRocket is a self-serve session replay and frontend monitoring platform built for engineers who debug from the recording, with Galileo AI watching sessions for them. Jetboat Analytics is a managed pipeline — product analytics, session replay, and error tracking — that we operate for you and turn into fixes you approve.

Choose LogRocket if…

  • You want the deepest replay for debugging: DOM playback with network requests and responses, console and Redux logs, CPU, memory, and web vitals in one timeline, plus mature native iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter SDKs.
  • You want AI triage built in and self-serve. Galileo ranks severe issues, summarizes sessions, answers questions about your data, and on Pro and above can dispatch a Cursor or Claude agent to open a pull request.
  • You want to start today: a 14-day trial with no credit card, list prices on the page (from $176/mo at 25K sessions), and an Enterprise self-hosted option when data must not leave your network.

Choose Jetboat Analytics if…

  • Your engineers don't want to own another debugger. We watch the replays and errors and bring you the fix, with the evidence attached.
  • You want product analytics on the same identity as replay and errors, with every event validated against a schema at ingest.
  • You want a price that doesn't move with sessions. One plan, everything managed, no per-replay fee or sampling rate to manage.

What LogRocket is good for

LogRocket is a debugger for front-end engineers. Its replay is the deepest of the four: DOM playback with network requests and responses, console and Redux logs, and CPU, memory and web vitals on one timeline, with native SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter. Galileo, on Pro and above, ranks severe issues, summarizes sessions, answers questions about your data, and can send a debug package to Cursor or a Claude agent that opens a pull request.

Analytics events and errors are unlimited on every plan, because sessions are the unit you pay for. There is a 14-day trial with no credit card, list prices on the page, and an Enterprise self-hosted option on AWS, GCP, Azure or any Kubernetes for data that can't leave your network. If your engineers live in the network and state panes when something breaks, LogRocket is built for them.

LogRocket leaves the product side to you. Analytics is autocapture, with events accepted as sent and no schema to check them against. There is no SQL; export is an API, with streaming export on Enterprise. Sessions are the meter, so the bill moves with traffic, and Conditional Recording is how you control it. Retention length is part of the price and isn't published. Severe-issue detection is unavailable self-hosted. And it is a tool your engineers run; nobody at LogRocket reads your sessions for you.

Moving off LogRocket

Recordings don't migrate, from LogRocket or anywhere else; a replay's value is in the last few weeks, and ours begin the day the script goes in. Analytics history is available through LogRocket's API export, or Streaming Data Export on Enterprise, if you want to keep it.

  1. We add our script beside the LogRocket SDK. Both record while ours comes up.
  2. Your LogRocket.identify call maps to ours, so the same user ID links replays, errors and analytics here.
  3. Your privacy notice may get shorter. LogRocket captures network bodies and headers by default and you opt elements out; our recorder masks text input by default, and the masking rules are covered by a conformance suite.
  4. We run both for two to four weeks, compare error counts and the funnels you care about, and send you the comparison.
  5. You remove LogRocket when you're satisfied, or keep it as the debugger for the engineers who want the DevTools panes.

Pricing

LogRocket meters one thing: “Pay for the sessions you capture. Analytics, logs, and errors are always unlimited.” The calculator runs from 1K to 4M+ sessions a month (web and mobile) and shows “Starting at $176 / mo” at 25K sessions; Conditional Recording, which keeps only the sessions that match your rules, is shown at “≈$765 / mo” for roughly 25% of sessions captured. Three plans sit on top: Core, Pro (Galileo AI, “Included free above 100K sessions / mo”), and Enterprise (unlimited seats, streaming export, self-hosted). The list price is not the whole price: “Final price depends on seats, retention length, and add-ons like Streaming Export,” and retention per plan is not published. There is a 14-day trial with no credit card, but no permanent free tier on the page (LogRocket pricing). Jetboat Analytics is one plan with everything managed, scoped to your event volume and goals on a short call (pricing), with no per-replay fee or sampling rate to reason about. If your traffic fits a low session tier and your engineers want a debugger they run themselves, LogRocket will cost you less in cash. What you are paying us for is the team.

Frequently asked questions

Is Jetboat Analytics a LogRocket alternative?

As a LogRocket alternative for product analytics, session replay, and error tracking, yes — that is what we run. It does not replace LogRocket's frontend performance monitoring, native mobile SDKs, heatmaps, surveys, or the DevTools-style network and state panes in its replay. If your engineers live in those panes, LogRocket is the better fit; some teams keep LogRocket as a debugger and use Jetboat for the analytics they want operated for them.

What does “managed” mean here?

We host and operate the whole pipeline — ingestion, storage, dashboards, replay, and error tracking — and you get a named human from onboarding onward. On top of that an operator watches your events, replays, and errors and proposes concrete product fixes; you approve them, and we can implement them inside your existing systems or hand them to your team. LogRocket gives your engineers a debugger; we give you people who use one on your behalf.

How is Jetboat's AI operator different from Galileo AI?

Galileo watches your sessions, ranks severe issues, summarizes them, and on Pro and above can auto-dispatch a Cursor or Claude cloud agent that opens a pull request you review and merge, using your own API key. Our operator watches your events, replays, errors, and the pipeline itself, then writes up a fix with the evidence linked; by default a human approves every action, and we implement the fix inside your existing systems or hand it to your team. Either way a person approves the change. The difference is that we also run the pipeline and build the fix inside your systems.
